| Monthly Senior Discount Day The Co-Op offers a 5% discount to seniors 65+ on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The next senior discount day will be held on Saturday, September 16. Updated COVID-19 Reminders – Masks are now optional for shoppers – We are still following recommended safety protocols The Pickens County community level is LOW. Based on the current CDC and SC DHEC guidelines, masks are optional for shoppers. We ask you to do the following:If you are feeling sick at all (fever or not), Please do not come into the store.If you know you have been exposed to COVID-19, DO NOT come into the store. Order Due Dates and Delivery Dates Online ordering calendar UNFI — Thenext delivery date is Wednesday, September 6. The next order due date is Monday, September 11. We receive orders every two weeks. Happy Cow — The milk delivery will be available on Tuesday, September 5 (due to the Labor Day holiday). Place orders by Saturday, September 16 for delivery on Monday, September 18. We receive orders every two weeks. Frontier Herbs — Next order due date is Tuesday, September 19. Frontier Co-op orders are due the 3rd Tuesday of the month. HEALTHY FLAX & EVO BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE This creamy balsamic dressing is a mix of heart healthy oils and is great to have on hand for fresh salads, or use a dip for veggies. Author: Julie | The Simple Veganista Prep Time: 5 min Total Time: 5 minutes Yield: Makes 1 cup, Serves 8 1x INGREDIENTS 1/4 cup flaxseed oil or hemp seed oil 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoon pure maple syrup, optional 1 tablespoon dijon mustard or stoneground 1 clove garlic, minced himalayan salt & pepper to taste INSTRUCTIONS In a small/medium size mason jar, or other container of choice, combine the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, mustard, garlic and salt & pepper, mix well to emulsify the mustard. Add in the oil and mix well. Taste for flavor. Drizzle on salads or vegetables…anything you like! Keep refrigerated and use within a week.
