Monthly Senior Discount Day The Co-Op offers a 5% discount to seniors 65+ on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  The next senior discount day will be held on Saturday, October 16.  Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs – this is how we run the co-op (no paid employees) Please contact Theresa at theresa.pizzuto@gmail.com if you’d like to help out and get a lower markup. Recipes and Health Articles JAN’S UMEBOSHI KALE SALAD This is simple and so very, very good. I could eat it at every meal. You’ll need: 3 Tbs. olive oil 1 tsp. Ume Vinegar 2 Tbs. raw sesame seeds Raw Kale Lightly toast the sesame seeds. Be careful. They burn easily.Wash and finely chop kale. A little goes a long way.Mix together the olive oil and ume vinegar.Toss the oil and vinegar and kale together. Taste to see if you have enough dressing.
