We hope that summer 2021 is going well so far! We are excited about our new home and how it is shaping up! We have been steadily working the past couple of weeks on assembling shelves, moving equipment and supplies, cleaning, painting, and a myriad of other activities to finish setting up in our new location. See the photos above and below for a peek at the work we have accomplished. Unfortunately we have run into an issue with the HVAC unit at the new location that will delay our reopening until it is repaired or replaced, since we do not want to move our temperature-sensitive food products and supplements until the AC is maintaining the proper temperature. We are in the process of determining the best remedy and will be back in touch as soon as we have a firm reopening date for our members. We anticipate reopening no later than Monday, August 9. In the meantime, if you would like to make a donation to help defray our moving expenses or the HVAC expenses, please mail a check to the Upstate Food Co-op at 137 S. Main St, Six Mile, SC, 29682, orfor more informationcontact Theresa Pizzuto, Interim General Manager at theresa.pizzuto@gmail.com. We appreciate your continuing support of our member-owned, all-volunteer cooperatively-run business providing healthy foods and products to our local community. |
